Today OMGtech came to Pt England to visit Rooms 9 and 10. we got to play lots of coding games. it was fun. here is the link to hour of coding if you want to play.

Today we were going to a Orchestra i think i'm going to see a mime you may already know what a mime is.  It is that thing in black and white and makes invizable boxes.

But i was wrong. we saw a play it was called kiwi kapers. It was about queen in the forest and scary music.  a evil fairy with hula hoop came the queen got captured she was on a hula hoop and a man came and save the girl with a giant hula hoop he done cool tricks.he went in circles while inside of the hula hoop.

on tuesday we had this activity. it was on the field when we got to the field miss west told us that we had to get into groups of 3 or 4. and my partners where freedom toby and harlyn we had

to pose & people had to guess what we were doing. We were playing volleyball harlyn & toby where the net me & freedom are the players freedom was the sever and other people done there .

immersion assembly

On Monday we went to the immersion assembly. First we started off with a song called MUSICAL MADNESS from the principal and some teachers. During the song there was a drum. Mr Somerville did the drum solo and it was cool. After the song, Mr J started talking in scottish then he showed a video of his cousin playing in a pipe band.

I don’t feel excited about this term because we have to learn about music and make music i'm not that good at making music.

stardom writing

last Thursday we went on to a bus to stardom. it took for long to get to stardom but i wanted to stay in the bus it was warm when we go   out we had to  wait 10 minute$ until seven o’clock and then one of the teachers went in and came out and told us we can go in. we went in I give it a 5/10 because there wasn't much fun stuff but we had to do this thing as a team we had to find out stuff about planets.  we had score ratings I didn't  know and i dont'e no how much we got but after that we sat down and then the man that got us to do told us to

Go into a theater and look up the seats where there was this colourful thing changing colour and then this movie started we had seen the trailer at school before it was a cool movie then the man gave us all  a free ticket to stardom and then we had got back from stardom it was

Lunch time then after it ended we had our program it is cool and then we got back at  2:56 and then 4 minute$ later it was home time He told us that the moon is bigger than Australia

Animation Writing

Hi my name is Lennox. My animation is about two people going into space to try and save the earth. So there was a guy in the park but then 3 years later the world got polluted because everyone was throwing their trash around and two people decided to go to space. Jeffy and Jack built a spaceship and flew into space to find a new home. First they went to a colorful planet. They walked out, then an alien came jumping down. They ran dashing to their spaceship then they went to Mercury. While they were there one of them said “ It's too hot!“ The other one said, “Yeah let's go!“ They went back into space and they found earth 2.0. They heard a weird noise. This alien was nice to them and then 50 years later humans and aliens lived together. The End. By Lennox

the solar eclipse

My friend told me about the solar eclipse so I told my mum and I told my brothers and told my cousin and my mum told  her partner so we ran to a farm and sat on a hay bail. it got cold and dark and we all said wow.   

Because we finally saw the moon cover the sun for a minute more people came my mum took a picture and posted it on Facebook it was awesome. And we had the special glasses so we wouldn't go blind when we looked at the  solar eclipse.

Fitting a bike helmet

Helmet of different sizes: small, medium, large, medium-large,  medium-small, xtralarge.

And you need yourself

1. The first thing you do before you put the helmet on Check for cracks.
2. Make sure you take off hair accessories or undo pony tails.
3. Make sure there's a y underneath your ears.
4. Tighten the helmet after you put it on and make sure it is the right size.
5. Clip it up.
6. After this, you put it  on and put two fingers on your forehead  and under your chin to  check that it fits properly.

We are designing a land boat to learn about technology and see how they work.

My boat has a pole that can hold up the sail and a rope. We need the sail so we can move faster and a rope to pull. We also have wheels so you can move fast and slow and turn. There is metal around it so you do not fall out of the landboat.

We have been learning about time and how to tell the time.

Environment narrative

One day there was an old man who kept getting sunburned because he had no shelter. He mostly stayed home but one day when he was going to the shop he walked under a tree and he realized he wasn't getting sunburnt. So then he walked under another tree and then he had an idea. He got his shopping and then went back home. He got dressed for the beach, he walked from tree to tree, and he finally made it. He quickly made it to a poem tree and he relaxed. He never got sunburned again.

Year 5/6 Camp

Hi my name is Lennox and you'll never guess where we had camp!

The day finally came Pt England school year 5&6 camp on the field in tents. I had to wake up early, I had breakfast then brushed my teeth and I got ready. We went to my school  and then we went into the breeze, then the teachers told us what we had to do. We had 6 teams, my teams name was the general's. Our first activity was to practice our chant and then once  we had done that we went on the bike track at our school for a little bit. The  teachers put up the big tent we also call it the marquee, we had our afternoon tea, we had cookies and fruit it was yum.On the second day we went kayaking,  i fell out into the cold water and when we finished then we went to get changed. That night we had dinner my mum served as well.   We had our concert on the second night, the presidents won, on the last day Friday we went to Mangere pool’s i went into the bombing pools it was fun and cold.

Everything at camp was my highlight because the activities were fun, we got to try and beat the other teams. one of the teachers had a game called killing zone that was my favorite because at the end we go to throw water balloons at the other team it was awesome.Thank you Mr Sommerville, Mr Goodwin, Mr Burt all the teachers and everyone that came and helped.

You learned how to be yourself how to work as a team. Everyone should go because we do fun activities and hang out with your friends.
